"Great location, 3 min walking to aurora borealis Bus stop no. 6 pick-up. Airport transfer Bus 55 public 17 EUR one-way, takes 1,5h to BSI central station, then 20 min walk to hotel or take yellow bus to Bus stop nr. 6. I had a 2 nights stay, their reception staff was amazing, the lady helped me book a northern lights tour literally the moment

Ground floor bar and socializing space really cozy, beer and wine tabs are activated by digital bracelet, top notch kitchen (no stove), free high quality tea bags (loved that detail:). Elevator, entry with digital bracelet in the pod, bath robes (2) per pod for hot tub use, Dyson hair dryer and Rituals free cosmetics at bathroom. Free storage of luggage after check out all activated with the digital bracelet. Everything it's spotless clean and their attention to little details it's something that will make me return."

"The hostel was great. Central location, very close to the most famous church and to the downtown, so there are always options where to eat, drink, and walk. The hostel itself is modern in the sense of not having a physical key but rather passcodes for all the doors. The staff were great - you can leave your baggage until your check-in or after your check-out for free. The administrator actually listens and tries to help you as much as possible if you're having some issues. In my room, it was quiet and warm. Also, the cleaning crew do their work really well - the bathrooms and rooms are clean, there's no smell or anything of the kind. There are free hairdryers in a special room. Outlets work, and they also have USB-ports. Common spaces are great, wonderful decor and vibe. Highly recommend"

"Amazing place ! I really enjoyed my stay here ! The location couldn’t be better ! ( 5min from the city center,5min from the main bus station,and a great view of the shore ) the service was also excellent ! All the staff member were super helpful ! They fulfilled my wish about my lower bed request, and even agreed to transfer a night I paid before so I could go to Vík overnight :) the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking,storing your food . The bathrooms and toilets were clean and always available as they were many toilet and shower to use !"

"The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the pier and the clerk is kind. Although there is no parking lot, the hotel has a paid parking space. There is a free parking space for ten minutes on foot, but you have to check with the clerk. Breakfast is simple, the location is not much, but just right, no need to wait. Children in the same bed, no extra charge."

"Great help for the bookings of the stay and the tours. And the place is just in a stunning location. Ask for the rooms with the church view. Many shops and restaurants near by, be sure to book tables early. Specially the Front desk ladies ( like Morito) were very friendly, helpful and perfect to assure a great stay."

"The bus hostel is really near the airport and quite walkable to major sightseeing like 20-30 minutes.
Yet the Windows curtain could not even cover it well so if you sleep near a Windows in summer (as the night will be very bright) You will affect by the light. There was men snoring really hard so it affect as well (though this is not about the hotel)
I got nose allergy and the entire time I stay in the hotel and it makes me feel very sick.
The self check in system is quite good, yet the reception will be locked after 9pm(?) I was coming back at 10pm and there was no staff help unlocking the main entrance which the password is different. They provide no information about this. A few of us (new guests or those coming back) are locked outside until a guest know the password show up. This certainly not a good service at all.
The toilet has automatic light which is Environmental friendly I like it, but it went off when I only have a short time in the toilet, this really not quite good.
But the location is good and there is bus travel tour pick up from here."

SSteph__Great location we were in the Artisan building which was a few minutes from bus stop 6. The apartment was very clean. Easy access to the apartment without having to formally check in as the door key is held on your mobile device. We had a junior suite which was perfect for our family of 4. However the sofa bed was so uncomfortable. The springs had gone and when 2 people are sharing the bed you end up rolling into the middle. Another 2 pillows for the sofa bed would have been welcomed. Having said that the apartment was clean, the bathroom was of a good size and stocked with L'Occitane toiletries. The shower was perfect. With Iceland being so expensive, the milk, orange juice and cornflakes were perfect for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised when the milk and orange juice was topped up throughout our stay. If the sofa bed was not so worn we would give this apartment 10/10.

AAlec Lyubomirsky (alyubomi)We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland!
Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!

DDaniel CurtisI loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! One of the outstanding features is that they give you a cell phone to use during your stay. The phone already has helpful apps installed for taxis, restaurants, etc. We are from the US so did not have international cell service so having this phone with us was helpful, especially for using maps. Reykjavik is a walkable city, and the hotel is located on the most popular street, so it has easy access to everything. The staff was very helpful and there is also a bar/restaurant onsite with amazing cocktails. There is an included breakfast buffet which featured hot and cold items. We had a room on the 4th floor that included access to large patio. We loved this feature as we could wake up and go outside to check the weather and enjoy the views of the mountains and water in the distance. The hotel was also extremely clean. Another nice touch was that they knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so when we entered our room, we found a bottle of wine, chocolate and romantic decorations!

GGuest UserExcellent location, so easy to get to where we wanted and needed to, especially we booked bus tours for 3 days, we were able to be picked up and dropped off at Bus Stop #1 that is located at City Hall where is only a few minutes away from hotel. It helped a lot when it’s raining. Only downside was the breakfast started @ 7 am which is bit late for early travelers, so the breakfast area was packed in the early morning. Maybe hotel should change its setting to let two rows of people picking up their breakfasts at the same time.

MM445711****I traveled to Iceland and chose this hotel for a total of three nights. This is the first night（8.6）,Everything else in the hotel is very good. The only terrible thing is that for the room on my left, I can clearly hear their phone calls. For the room on my right, I can clearly hear them coughing and talking, which is very clear in the middle of the night. I doubt whether every room can hear the sound like this, so I will consider whether it is useful to propose to change the room.

LLivoryPerfect in all counts. Service was top, free private parking saved hassle of figuring out public parking space, rooms super clean and housekeeping everyday (we didnt really need it but they kept our room tidy everyday), very good furniture arrangement to open two big luggages with room to still walk. Reykjavik city centre is not too big so walking from hotel is not hard at all. Hotel is beautiful with so much art to admire, lobby decor was amazing and welcoming. I am just glad that on my return to Reykjavik from east of Iceland, we are staying there again before we fly off to our next destination. If you’re staying in Reykjavik and don’t mind a 5min walk to city centre, this is the place to book. One small gripe: bring eyemasks for summer as the curtains leak a tiny bit of light no matter how you arrange it (which is a common issue we faced in most Icelandic hotels).

However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay.
The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food.
